@PlusPixels cool to find someone who worked in Wakfu. I was super into the Wakfu animated series. I played the Dofus MMO and the Wakfu sequel for a bit too. animations were always on point 😁

Hi there !
I'm a french pixel artist. When not animating, I mostly like to make backgrounds, sometimes with big monsters :D

Take a moment to read about Jerry Lawson. It’s his birthday today. He developed the first video game cartridge which revolutionized the gaming industry. He was a real genius. But we only hear admiration for the pseudo genius of the Elon Musks of the world and the Great White industrial barons. America would be NOTHING without the contributions of Black folks. We must promote our history because the truth must be heard.

@pl @brainwane I watch how people use software as part of my job, one of my favorite things I’ve seen seen someone do is immediately paste everything she copied into a chat window to her manager (without sending) so she didn’t accidentally lose it copying something else. She did this probably dozens of times over the course of an hour.

Hi folks. I now have like four mastodon accounts. I'm trying to figure out how that works. I have an account where I'm connected to many people in #academia which will help me professionally. But then I was thinking it would be beneficial for me to have more support in my personal life from this community. Keep these separate? How do others navigate this? #disability
@DrSuzanne can you link your academic account as well?
@DrSuzanne i believe those are anoles. we have a lot of them in my neighborhood. @OneGrenouille
@lucifargundam don't take my word for it. I could have just got a batch with some variance or something.
I am going to try the Asian food market in my area though. i heard tell from a pho shop employee they resumed selling it there earlier than the chain supermarkets. so what they have there now might come from a different stock
walmart has my rooster sauce again, but it smells and tastes different 🤨

So, I just searched #Neuralink for a completely different reason, but apparently they have a public update now:

As you've probably heard, the lava flows have cut through the road to Mauna Loa Observatory, cutting off access and power. Let's be clear: What's remarkable (and lucky for the world!) that this hasn't happened since 1984 -- MLO *is* built on an active volcano.
CO2 measures will continue globally at many sites. Fortunately so far, MLO itself is spared. But restoring power and access will be no joke.
HT @RobinLacassin for spotting the new photo.

were there states *not* respecting interracial marriages? I thought we had that sorted, but congress is making a law about it?

@JessButler I followed the work of the Force 11 Software Citation Working Group for while. A while ago they transitioned to the Software Citation *Implementation* Working Group which is still active. I'd recommend checking out their Principles article for anyone interested in these issues https://peerj.com/articles/cs-86/
and their GitHub https://github.com/force11/force11-sciwg
@xan honestly, I don't get it. I've been here being a black man for a good while now, and it's been fine. i guess I'm benefiting from the assumed default of whiteness, so I don't attract... whatever these other black folks are experiencing
