@dcid I've looked up what it takes to run my own mail server and I don't see the marginal benefit for *myself*. it's the kind of thing I'd do for a family or small group of friends
@janellecshane number 30 is kinda sad
I'm hand-curating the GPT-3 generated #Botober prompts because many of the neural net's drawing prompts are terrible for one reason or another.
Here are some of the prompts that were unfairly difficult.
Introducing #Botober, a set of AI-generated drawing prompts for each day in October!
I generated these using GPT-3, a neural net trained on a huge amount of internet text, but not on drawing prompts specifically. (This explains a lot)
@bluestarultor i found it interesting how easy it turns out to be to make something that absorbs tons of light, you just have to make the texture (on a micro and macro scale) really matte. most matte black paint is pretty good! there's a good video on this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xr1AiExSAnU

I was only half-listening to a reading of #TheMappist, but I dialed in during the meeting with Corlis. It really connected with a lot in my personal history w.r.t. to #maps, #archiving, and #planning for the future

Remote Code Execution in Slack desktop apps + bonus
https://hackerone.com/reports/783877
If you are using Slack, take a read at this report. Low reward for such a serious vuln.
"With any in-app redirect - logic/open redirect, HTML or javascript injection it's possible to execute arbitrary code within Slack desktop apps. This report demonstrates a specifically crafted exploit consisting of an HTML injection, security control bypass and a RCE Javascript payload. "
