@freemo It's difficult to find the complete source code ime. This is more difficult to develop for than I assumed it would be. I suppose I should try to get all the components working correctly.

It's still a very broken device on the software side. The hardware is not completely refined either. It seems that the company is planning on making a better phone in the near future. The A64 is built on a 40nm process, only supports a 5mp camera and seems to be limited to 3GB of ram.

It's the first development device I have ever owned and I'm one of 3000 people who have this honor so I suppose I should try to fix it as best as I can.

@snow This is quite worrisome indeed. The US has had similar problems with GMO agricultural products in the past. They weren't properly tested before being released and ended up poisoning susceptible people.

Back to the topic of discussion lol. I see the human gene carrying animals as the biggest threat personally. I don't think it's ethical for anyone other than the researchers to eat these animals. The animals would have been in observation for their entire lives.

@snow @freemo It did not occur to me that the "Pillar of Light" could have been the question. It's not very common in the US to call a professor this. The Pillar of Light is a title given to professors for illuminating the dark or ignorant world.

@snow @freemo I'm still in undergrad but I work in research for a professor. It's not my field but I was "recruited" into the research.

@snow In Science the first lesson we learned was how to respect the test animals. "Do no harm" was the way it was phrased. I don't see any real problem in eating test animals depending on what was done to them. It just seems like an added respect for the animals that would otherwise be euthanized.

@freemo I had to buy a charger capable of 5V 3A charging to even start development. My next step is going to be integrating additional hardware. Maybe the RISC-V camera I have would be a nice touch.

I got The PINEPHONE BRAVEHEART! It's really cool but I haven't had a chance to really play with it. Pictures will be posted shortly.

My Pinephone Braveheart was not destroyed in the EU! It was already treated as a hazardous material because of the battery. The device cleared Honk Kong Customs and Sweden Customs. I can't wait to get it in the US!

@freemo There is room for both Copyleft and Permissive style licenses.

@freemo That's awesome. I vaguely recall hearing about a different use "Solar Sails".

I still have not received my device and I am not unhappy with this. We already have one case of the new strain of SARS in my country.

@freemo @Bells Complete legalization of drugs is the only real way forward in my opinion. The same neurotransmitters that have brought humanity so far have also been the end of many.
