I keep seeing that “first they came for the journalists” sign, and it pisses me off so much, because when they came for muslims, immigrants, and trans people, mainstream journalists normalized it and reported it as “both sides”. Somehow it didn’t count for them until it was happening to them personally, which is *exactly* what the fucking poem was warning against in the first place.

I'm starting a five-session radiation cancer treatment Monday (left parietal tumor, currently at about 38cc total volume) and would be happy to offer a report on the experience and outcome and such, should anyone have an interest in that kind of thing. Have already done some radiation other than my head, so it won't be a completely new experience at least. Data wasted is a terrible thing, but I understand if it's not of any general interest. 😎
Very little in the way of symptoms thus far. A slight mismatch of left hand and proprioception when not in visual field, but that's it. Not even headaches, oddly. Using dexamethasone 4mg once per day to counter swelling, and can tell it helps (better language fluency). Glad to provide any details anyone might want.
If anyone was starting to write a guide for multi-column display for me after I so desperately asked, you're off the hook! It makes me sad that I had to switch to the Search Engine Which Must Not Be Named to do it, but at least I'm all hip and modern now. Rockin' five columns, and I may even add one more!
It seems like the kind of thing that would have information splattered all over the place, but was quite hard to find. Lots of "Here's what multi-column looks like, with hashtags and all, ain't it cool?" and not a word about how to make it happen. At least I got a chance to complain, which is always of great value.

Aaargh!. I've somehow managed to reduce my advanced view to three columns and would like to get back to four. After about a half hour of fruitless searching for an answer, I am empty-handed. I bet somebody out there knows; could I get a hand please please?

Volcanic sea stacks off the southern coast of #Iceland at Vík í Mýrdal. These are Reynisdrangar, seen from Víkurfjara beach at the south of the town. Although the sea looks dark and foreboding, it's actually very clear water but the sand beneath is black.

Singer Josephine Baker was the toast of Paris. She was a spy for the French Resistance during WWII & secured passports for Jewish citizens fleeing Nazi territory.
Her marriage to a Jewish businessman drew the attn. of Hermann Göring, who poisoned her. Members of the Fr. Resistance rescued her; she recovered.

I've been on the Internet literally since before there was an Internet per se (that is, on the original DOD ARPANET that become the Internet). I've been thinking about Musk's actions over the last few days. I cannot think of any instance of any Internet-related firm ever attempting a broad *** censorship of their users' *** ability to post freely available, legal information, including discussion and links to such information, except ... that in so doing, Musk joins the ranks of Russia, China, North Korea, Iran, and other countries that criminalize all manner of information as part of their repressive regimes.
Musk has now bound himself to them and their philosophies, and any advertisers, firms, or other organizations doing business with him in any way, regarding any of his companies, will be doing the same by association going forward.
