The big blob of cold air, pushed by Pacific plumes has come to the end of its run, stopping just short of freezing the big rocket. The Pacific plumes continue to push straight North, so we can expect more of these 'air glaciers'.

The people on the bird site were aghast that we thought it cool these LED dance poles were powered by Raspberry Pi.

We got in a lot of trouble. It was most unexcellent.

All this to say, shortcomings or no, I’m so glad Mastodon is an option. No ads, no constant viral spam, no entity or algorithm shoving something in my face constantly.

I expect some things will worsen for Mastodon while others improve, but I sincerely hope it can hold onto its soul in the months and years to come!
