@Shematologist That is always a hard combination. I know when things get icy roads become so dangerous.

@skrishna You've done so much in the field and your work is always appreciated. I'm a Ph.D. candidate at Mississippi State University with a focus on protecting the population during tornado threats.

@sezick Yes definitely! Now hopefully that leads to acceptance. I know the map is constantly a work in progress.

@sezick I am pretty much the same, although I am most active in severe weather events.

@jjrennie Yes I agree!! I'm just preparing for the submission and hopefully the acceptance next.

@rvawonk Excellent analysis. It's hard to replace Twitter, as much as we want to. I agree it will take a long time to replace it. Other social media sites don't have the quick finds and quick responses.

On a positive note, today I submitted my draft post-doctoral proposal, which builds on my Ph.D. dissertation. In addition, my dissertation is now about 90% complete and I have the body written, now just need to get the conclusion and defense going. Things are moving!

@ingalls Same here, I would be so sad too!

@carolineclason Your work will certainly be appreciated! I'll be happy to see your studies.

@itsafronomics You've done so much for the community at large and there's no one like you Anna! So proud of you!

@amydiehl The moment has become so right for it. The only downside is that my posts have such limited reach.

@SarahMackAttack He's so adorable! I'm glad we have found each other here in this Elon-free space!

@sonyah I hope so too Sonya!! And hopefully action is taken on Twitter to solve the issue...and force Elon to sell at least part of it.

@rvawonk Thank you so much. I've started to build up here but it has nowhere near the reach. There's no way I can get 200,000 impressions on posts like I have during, say, the December tornado outbreak last year or during Hurricane Ian.

@rvawonk You're welcome. I'm also this name on Twitter, and wasn't following you until now. I did read that Sen. Markey is looking to step in. One option would be a forced sale of Twitter to someone like Meta or a non-partisan media outlet.

@rvawonk I just saw the study you wrote. It's really sad to see something critical go away to soothe one man's mammoth ego.

@sonyah I've been incredibly frustrated lately by Twitter and all that has happened. I just wish there was a better way to communicate to a large number of people at once.
