At the moment getting a lot of questions which are answered on the site, and it's difficult to keep up with every question. I'm happy to keep answering, but also afraid I'll miss someone's question.
If they know about the site from the beginning, they will have a chance of finding the answers themselves if I do miss their question.

I'm positive there's others far more knowledgeable on that but I think it's straight forward.
Also, in the short time I've been here I've noticed a number of people leave this instance because it's blocked by other instances (this instance doesn't block other instances so we're guilty by association). Just something to be aware of if a wide audience is what you're looking for. Again, I'm not an expert on the details of this.

As an amateur #astronomer 
, I have had focused for the last couple of months in #solar imaging. The sun follows a cyclical pattern of activity every 11 years approximately, called a solar cycle. This cycle alternates between lulls in activity (the "solar minimum") and lots of it (the "solar maximum"). We are just starting a new solar cycle, so activity is just starting to ramp up. In other words, now is a good time to start observing our 🌞 star! (WITH THE PROPER FILTERING EQUIPMENT OF COURSE 😎 ).
