One problem for older caregivers of younger family members is figuring out who will care for our dependents when we are gone. It can be a particularly tough problem in conservative geographic areas where self-sufficiency, pulling oneself up by the bootstraps, rugged individualism, or whatever else one calls it is strongly valued. The common expression that God helps those who help themselves is not biblical, but some think it is and vote accordingly. Belief by some that religious organizations, rather than the government, should provide a social safety net contributes to caregiver worries--this is partly because religious organizations are unable to meet the immense needs for help; it is partly because some persons with disabilities have unappealing behavioral symptoms that conflict with the moral beliefs of religious persons about how needy persons should behave to deserve help. This issue is evident by over-representation of persons with disabilities among the homeless and incarcerated. It's time to get smarter about policy and the law. In the meantime, caregivers often feel like we are mostly on our own.

I rescued a jumping spider about half the size of a Rice Krispie from the pool today. I thought I was rescuing a moth, but the poor moth had already drowned, & the spider was using it as a life raft—he was so miniscule, I didn’t realize he was there at all. I caught some barely perceptible movement & looked very, very closely, & he waved his TINY TINY TINY legs at me so FIERCELY! I set the net* on a nearby shrub & he SPROINGED off it & ran away. They argued over keeping their insane immigration policy and now new elections will be necessary but they're not planning to do it until November. New elections will be an opportunity for the farmers to make some political gains but I doubt enough to save any farms. Prime Minister Mark Rutte is Klaus Schwab's favorite son and they'll be a lot better off without him.

Calckey (and probably the other *keys) does not support the cc field.
It does not extract the data from the cc fields that are sent by my client.
Akkoma does, Pleroma does, and I'm pretty sure that Mastodon does as well.
As far as I'm aware, it's mandated by the spec that the cc field must be respected.
Why doesn't Calckey get mentions from the cc field? It's been messing up threads that I'm a part of.
