Just heard from a friend that her uncle on #Maui, Sam Ka'ai, thankfully survived the fire but his extensive collection of Polynesia artifacts from voyages in the 70s and beyond were all destroyed. He had moved this treasured collection from another location upland in just the past few years.

Sam Ka'ai is credited with helping to relaunch the Polynesia voyaging tradition and he collected a great many artifacts from #Hawaii to New Zealand.

One loss of many.

Was scrolling through Instagram videos and there was one of a mom and her daughter dressing identically and doing a little dance, and EVERYONE IN THE COMMENTS was saying shit like "you are grooming her!" and sexualizing the fuck out of it.

But still making progress. I managed to take 16x16 sprite data. Place 8 spaced copies of it and repeat it over 4 rows. Using loops and calls. Then to load and display 2nd 16 x 32 sprite.

I feel there could be a good movie made out of the early Seattle grunge scene. Mudhoney, Mother Lovebone, Soundgarden, Nirvana, and Pearl Jam. They all were somewhat friends and got big in the same time period. And some of those bands came out of other mentioned. A great musical history.
