I don’t need anyone to read this, or offer a solution, I just need to rant about my television.

The problem: “out of memory” errors. I deleted the handful of apps that allow for it. Reset the “smart hub”. Reset the television to factory settings. Tried a hard reset. Tried ALL of this multiple times.

And when you add in the two factor authentication, security codes, and endless forum searches, I’m several hours into this project.

Something odd I’ve been noticing here and there recently: Image files on Web sites that have .jpg filenames, but which become .webp when I save them. What’s especially weird is that if I grab the file with, say, wget, it’s served as a image/jpeg, but if I save it in the browser it becomes a .webp file containing “RIFF (little-endian) data, Web/P image”.

What’s going on here?

Not only did all of this fail to free up more memory, but since it still shows “zero” memory available, I can’t reinstall the apps I deleted, and the performance glitches persist.

I’m not able to find a definitive answer, and neither Samsung nor anyone on any of the forums can provide one either. 🙃

TLDR: this machine is going in the bin, and I’m never buying another #Samsung.

For some reason completely out of my control, I like trying to grow pineapple plants from the tops that you'd normally cut off and discard.

Pineapple plants are definitely not native here... I'm about 30 degrees (latitude) away from the areas where they are nornally grown.
