Yeah, at that age we all thought we could do anything 🥴

I thought I could use leading zeros in decimal constants in Python3, since I recalled that it had finally killed that brain-damaged hackers' convention (of C, awk, bash, etc) that a leading zero means octal (so 077+1 = 64).

But no, leading zeros are just forbidden in Python3. Syntax error. Which is the right decision, to minimize bugs, of course.

But sigh, now pining for Python4...

Help! I recall a quote about the importance of remaining a person who works on a farm as opposed to identifying as a "farmer", but I can't remember who said it. Of course Google is of little help. I want to say Thoreau but can't be sure.

"View of Beverswijk from the Wijkermeer," Salomon van Ruysdael, 1661.

A Dutch Golden Age painter, van Ruysdael was noted for his water paintings and his fondness for skies and clouds. Not much is known of his life, except he was also a woodworker, and a lot of his work is unsigned, so there could be more waiting to be found out there. Check your attic!

From the Mauritshuis, the Hague.

MARK MEADOWS LOSES!

Georgia racketeering charges against Mark Meadows should be tried in state court: judge

The decision is important for four co-defendants who are also trying to move their cases to federal court by arguing their federal positions should protect them from state-level charges.

Will this be the kiss of death for Trump as well!
