Once again, Apple is doing everything in its power to fight consumer rights:

"The more I think about it, the more I realize Apple’s Self-Service Repair program is the perfect way to make it look like the company supports right-to-repair policies without actually encouraging them at all."

In case you don't get enough from me about how much of an anti-transit poseur Phil Murphy is, he's happy to build more roads and fight tolls, but he's not interested in funding NJ Transit enough to cover its debt service, let alone upgrade or expand service.

While #PierrePoilievre claims that the new, updated #CanadaUkraine #FreeTradeAgreement would force #Ukraine to adopt a #CarbonTax, there is a pretty good source that says that is not so: Ukraine.

For some bizarre reason, Mr. Poilievre – a #Conservative leader with a 14-point lead in polls who is heading what is supposed to be a government-in-waiting – insists on using that false claim to justify voting against a trade deal that war-weary Ukraine dearly wants.

Nov 24 EWE: Bolivia — Bolivians use hoses, water bottles to battle wildfire blazes. The wildfires, which come as its neighbor Brazil battles with scorching temperatures and its own fires, have led to canceled flights and shut schools due to smoked-filled air and devastated ecosystems. Our goal is to integrate computer vision tools into iNaturalist to help the community provide higher quality identifications faster as #iNaturalist continues to grow. https://www.inaturalist.org/pages/computer_vision_demo
As of April 2017, #iNaturalist had around 5,000,000 'verifiable' observations. We use the term verifiable to describe observations that have all the necessary data quality attributes (eg. photos, locations, not pets) to be eligible to become 'research grade'. https://www.inaturalist.org/computer_vision_demo

I saw those toes and had to take a pic. It’s an all too common sight I my bedroom these days. The cat has taken to just hanging out under the sheets while he naps. I am judging him so hard right now. #CatsOfMastodon

Hillman State Park outside Pittsburgh is largely undeveloped. The Wetland Trail goes through grasslands. Go in July/August for many wild flowers and 400ft of blackberry bushes - yummy. https://backpackandsnorkel.com/USA/Pittsburgh/Hillman-State-Park/

Everything I hear of Tumblr now sounds like managed decline, I guess the Tech Bros want those communities dead, very sad 😔

Wave Energy Propulsion to Power Ships

Academics from Cranfield University have worked on the concept of using wave energy for propulsion, and designed an inventive method of achieving greater thrust from the power of the waves by harnessing a vessel’s submerged flapping foils in an innovative way.
