Riddle me this: I have a YouTube video playing in the background at work, using Edge’s InPrivate mode. I see in the sidebar a suggestion for a video it says I watched “2 months ago”.

How does it know this?

I am not signed in. I am using InPrivate. I close my browser at the end of the day. This computer has restarted many times in the past two months.

So I stopped posting on Twitter and locked my tweets there, so only followers can see them. I still stop back periodically because I get useful pointers frequently from #EnergyTwitter, but I'm no longer active there. This is a useful way to get value from that dumpster fire without contributing in a meaningful way to its nonsense. I waste a lot less time now!
