Hello! When you finish reading this card there will be a statue of an angel appearing at your window. Don't blink--put the card down and step over to your closet without taking your eyes off the angel. Your closet will take you to my TARDIS. See you in a few.

Dear Charlie,

I so enjoyed playing football with you this fall! Have a Happy Holidays!

Here we go again, @freemo
Just when I thought it was safe, ha. The respite was nice while it lasted.

🥥 Eye LOVE this woman.
Prof. #JanetVertesi of #Princeton has spent the last decade ditching toxic technologies and avoiding big tech fads. She did it without living in a cave, throwing away her devices, or becoming a Luddite. She's online, and her life includes technologies. But she chose to be thoughtful, ethical, and responsible. She embraces companies and communities who help her keep her data private, and steers clear of those who don't. And she's on Mastodon!

Conqueror of North America.
This dapper little fellow belongs to a species native to Europe and Asia that has become naturalized throughout North America and worldwide: The House Sparrow (Passer domesticus).

"Pine Island #glacier is one of the fastest flowing outlets of ice from the west #Antarctic ice sheet, draining an area ¾ the size of the UK. In recent decades, the glacier has been retreating rapidly and losing ice, contributing more to global sea level rise than any other Antarctic glacier.

The speed of the glacier’s retreat and the rate that is has been losing ice has led to concerns about how stable the region is. Model results show that this region of west Antarctica could collapse in the future. If it does, then it could raise global mean sea level by several metres." #climate
