“‘Free money!’ Avanti West Coast bosses caught joking about UK government handouts”
This doesn’t surprise me at all. Not just avarice but arrogance alongside it. https://www.theguardian.com/business/2024/jan/16/free-money-avanti-west-coast-bosses-caught-joking-about-uk-government-handouts?CMP=Share_iOSApp_Other

Hrrm, the #OpenSource schism continues. More cogent threat here than from @OpenTofuOrg I think, albeit a less superheated market. Interesting times.
Great detail from the awesome @PariseauTT
So much of my life has been learning things I thought were super hard and only for smart and hardworking people and then getting somewhat into it and being like "wait...this is BULLSHIT" except at that point it feels like no one wants to listen to me unless I act like the thing I can kinda do is super hard and for smart and hardworking people.
A small list: juggling, DJing, drones, ham radio, electronic hardware, solar power, lockpicking, vehicle conversion, construction.
And when I say these kinds of things people are usually like "yeah tooootally" but then WILL treat me differently when they find out I can lockpick and solder.
And after being in it for a lifetime the most succinct thing I can see to fight against and talk about is....
It's patriarchy. It's many other things under that but it's patriarchy.
And people will again be like "yeah tooootally".
But then I say it a few times to try to get somewhere and I'm...difficult. Uncomfortable. Problematic.
