US, UK, Australia, Canada, Italy, Germany, Finland, & the Netherlands responded to the UN top court #ICJ ruling that Israel act immediately to prevent #genocide in Gaza ... by cutting off their aid to the UN aid agency UNRWA because Israel has accused 12 UNRWA members of being involved in the Oct 7 Hamas attack on Israel.

Israel's Foreign Minister Israel Katz thanked them & said this is the first step toward ending #UNRWA which Netanyahu has called for since 2017.

When I noticed last month that, with a bad cold I sounded like Carlin, I tried to get an AI to do some Carlin jokes for me to read. It absolutely wouldn’t do it, although when I told it Carlin was dead, it did give it a try. 🍸🙀
My conclusion? These guys definitely wrote the material themselves 🍸😺

All good proper girls should take a page out of this thread and run with it.

Anyway, I'm experimenting with identifying my limiting beliefs and thinking of ways to gently challenge them. 6/6

Yeah, like how good Christian girls behave like proper Christian girls, demure, charming, husband-bait and if you're a girl who doesn't, there's something wrong with your head, or you're evil.

So, you can label yourself, but sometimes labels come with a lot of baggage. Probably there just isn’t a word and that label was the closest word t...

It's kinda like your comfort zone. You're super comfy. It's so great, you've got it all figured out. And you stay there where's all cozy. That too is fine. That is probably a level of 'knowing oneself'.

I'm not saying abandon your cozy zone, no way. It's just sometimes, after a while, you might get frustrated with your cage you kinda built for yourself out of your beliefs and I think this can lead to depression and apathy.

Here's why girls start out in elementary school good at math and basic science but by high school get crammed into "home economics" shit. Fuck that.

But sometimes you can over-identify with a long-held belief about yourself and incorporate that stereotype into your sense of self in an entrenched...

I'm not saying all limiting beliefs are bad, some are of course necessary. I know I can't just flap my arms and start flying around the room. I could try but it's not going to work. lol. Or other types of 'wishing makes it so' kinda nonsense.

I mean things more like stereotypes about yourself. I am *this thing* therefore I'm not even going to try *that thing* because of entrenched reinforcement learning that established that always works out bad for me. And maybe that's perfectly valid.

I'm quote-boosting this thread because as early as junior high school I've always been like, if somebody told me I couldn't do something because I was a girl, I'd be all "Oh yeah? Watch me!"

From this I developed the mantra that nobody could tell me what my limits are except me. Never let anyone else set your limits for you. Ever.

Do you ever think about your 'limiting beliefs'? I'm not talking about conventional beliefs, but personal beliefs about yourself that limit you? Li...
