I'm not a lawyer and can't speak to the merits of this #ClassAction suit against #Amazon for putting ads on #PrimeVideo. But Amazon deserves every bit of the negative attention they get for just blowing away a perk of subscribers because they had dollar signs in their eyes from ad revenue.

I showed Amazon what I thought by canceling my annual subscription last week. They may not care, but I sure enjoyed it.

re: the Flipper Zero, I never thought I'd say this but Canada should consider taking a leaf (hehe) out of England's book when it comes to criminal legislation.

we have minor offense called "going equipped for theft". essentially if you get stopped and search 'cos they think you're on the way to steal a car or break into somewhere, and you're found to have any of the typical tools of the trade (screwdriver, centerpunch, etc.) they can arrest you for it and keep you off the street for 24h.

“When the COVID pandemic ravaged the world, our Chief Minister ran in the direction of panicked voices of people,” Karunanidhi said. “The nation knows the way you fought to save the lives of people, and so do I.”

Senthil Nayagam, founder of Muonium, the AI media tech firm that made the deepfake Karunanidhi video, told Al Jazeera that “there is a market opening up [for such deepfakes]…. You can attribute some statements to a particular person and that kind of gives more value to it”.

AI Karunanidhi’s first public appearance was at a local media event last year in September, which was followed up by another for a campaign by his party members. The resurrected leader often felicitates party workers and specifically praises the leadership of his son MK Stalin — with the aim of boosting his popularity."

Anybody aware of a database on people killed in #palestine over time since October 7th?

I can find a lot of news on different days but no good overview (B'tselem's database stopped counting on Oct 6th. The best I've found is on Wikipedia but undocumented sources. Trying to provide a documented source that people can assess the reliability of themselves.
