I'm jumping the gun on this, but of the 31k surveyed so far, yes it does look like the Fediverse is a community of "old" people. 🧓

I know this has been #Meta’s directive for a while in other apps, but we’ve seen post-2016 that every platform is weaponized as a new political attack surface. Especially if #Threads takes off in part because it mimics #Twitter’s function, we shouldn’t be surprised if a growing percentage of the interactions mimic Twitter in form (i.e. coordinated harassment, brigading, etc)

These problems aren’t solved by leaning into other communities
