For anybody who cares: I use a KN95. It's because it's black and I go into ToughGuy places where the ToughGuys get triggered by the sight of masks but slightly less angry if it's black. (Maybe they think I'm an outlaw.)

However: I use an "ear saver" with it.

I have to say, I would bet my life on it passing a fit test. I can't smell soap. I can't smell paint. I can't smell anything except the most extreme gasses.

I was once in a hotel room in this setup for an hour before I took it off and realized the rooms had just been painted.
