Starting the purge of sugar foods that no one eats but me.
Goodbye cereal, cliff bars, York mints, and ice cream, including Häagen-Dazs bars.
Some will go home with the grandkids, and some will compost.
It is all worth it if I can reduce the inflammation that is making me miserable.
I don't do sugar substitutes, so there's that.

Musical Interlude: OK, it was cold today, we had some brief snow, that got me in the holiday mood and I actually listened to some Christmas music before Dec. 1st. Well, at least it's after Thanksgiving. Anyway, I love this song and consider it an underrated gem....and it seems it's now a favorite for the accordion, which is fine with me. This version has become the soundtrack to my holiday season.
