Literally all anybody is asking for is a thermostat which can do scheduling, can be remotely controlled/monitored, and change setpoints based on occupancy.

It needs to be an easier-to-program thermostat with a few smarts on top and THAT'S IT.

Right now, they're all sliding backwards in the name of "comfort presets" or some BS and the experience of using them is much worse than a simple programmable unit.

I cannot fathom who is making these design decisions and why. It's just awful.

By the numbers, they're cutting 17% of staff, and paying for less than 33% of the music they stream.

And earning a whopping 1% profit margin.

Governor of Russian Voronezh region has confirmed the death of Russian Major General Vladimir Zavadsky in the war.

Some Russian media reported that Zavadsky decided to go for a ride in a vehicle seized from the AFU. Due to that, he came under mortar fire from Russian troops. He panicked and drove into a Russian minefield, trying to get away from the fire. The vehicle then exploded on a mine.

Regarding L.W. v. Skrmetti going before the US Supreme Court:

I can soooo see the court deciding that supportive parents of trans kids have the right to decide their medical care (ie bans on trans teen healthcare are unconstitutional).

While also deciding for unsupportive parents and anti-trans hypothetical parents who want to force schools to out trans kids under the guise of "parents' rights".

It's just the sort of thing this court would do, being fully aware of the unbalanced impact of the two.
