I think F23 wants to feed E23 but, as a first time mom, isn't sure how. She keeps looking around for M15.
I do wish polls on Mastodon could run for 7 days — 24 hours is way too short for the kind of polls I like to run (@Gargron) — but it looks pretty much like a 50/50 split as to whether developers here are going to offer their iOS apps on visionOS through compatibility mode. It sounds like it's going to be much closer to iOS-on-Mac app availability than iPhone-on-iPad, at the very least

“The Gulls Are Winning”
The gulls always win. They remember they can fly. The pigeons seem to forget.

"Information wants to be free"
stupidest slogan of all time
information doesn't want anything
by 2nd law, it costs something to produce, analyze, store, organize and deliver information
what the slogan means is I, the speaker, want something that cost someone else money, but I don't want to pay for it, and I don't have the guts to say I want it for free, so I am hiding behind this slogan, where an abstract idea (information) takes my place
and I've been saying this for over 10 years

The Internet Is About to Get Weird Again
I saw a feature a little while ago in @Semafor in which media people talked about what they'd gotten wrong in 2023. Well, here's mine: I'm stunned that Twitter/X is still more or less recognizably itself, that many of the people and accounts I need to follow are still there, and that it has not yet taken its final death plunge into the toxic pit of hell. Maybe 2024 will be the year. #journalism
ah yes fair warning to the world!! #templeton #massachusetts please please be patient with #usps
they just got the literal worst postmaster. she was fired from the office my spouse works at for things like: not paying the trash bill, heating bill, water bill. stealing money orders from the postal safe and trying to frame the only black carrier. falsifying documents including time sheets and routes and falsifying signatures so that she could keep pay down& keep overburdened routes (routes with more houses than their evaluated time to deliver mail on are possible). she ignores missives from above that instruct her how to get pay out during emergencies and just Doesnt Do It. new for 2024! she lies and claims to be a veteran.
we also suspect with strong evidence she's done things like: burn her house down for insurance money, and steal 50$ from the union steward, probably not realizing who he is even though its her job on her first week in Templeton.
so..... ur carriers are gonna be stressed
G+ refugee and simply want my instance to work reliably.
