i haven't needed a new computer monitor in like 10 years (still don't). but i'm curious. are new monitors as stupid as these privacy-leaking 'smart' TVs, or have they remained straightforward pieces of equipment that just *work* without forcing you to create some bullshit account?

What's an effective way to make DoorDash leave the neighbor's food at their door instead of mine?

This mis-delivery happens frequently and I have to chase after the delivery person who really dashes off after leaving the package at my door.

Maybe the issue is my driveway and walkway are well lit and that's too "deliver and dash" friendly? 🤔

So, a worker in Iceland appears to have fallen into a crevasse in Grindavik and is possibly (probably) deceased. He was specifically working to fill in the crevasse so people could cross over it with vehicles and whatnot.

This whole area is an active tectonic zone where a volcanic eruption may occur at any time and they're farthing around with tossing dirt into crack.
