#Climate pledges made by countries worldwide are “dangerously overreliant” on tree planting and land restoration that would require an area greater than the size of the US and risked sparking conflict.
Countries were turning to land-based solutions instead of doing the hard work of steeply reducing emissions from fossil fuels, decarbonising food systems and stopping the destruction of forests and other ecosystems

Hi friends!
It's that time of night when we post something to make you smile. But tonight's post is meant to make you laugh. I still crack up every time I watch it.
This is an old Mama's Family sketch from the Carol Burnett Show. Tim Conway is improvising about elephants and the remaining cast can't keep it together.
I'm sure a lot of you have seen it but everyone should watch it! It's about three minutes long.
Have a great night!

BREAKING: New study in Nature Climate Change shows that academic research funded by fossil fuel companies is biased.
Biased against renewables and toward promotion of fossil gas.
Given Big Carbon's big money in academia, this should raise alarm bells.

What they didn’t realize was that unlike them, most sane people would actually just leave the site and go somewhere else. They miscalculated the importance of the bird site to the left. “Citizen journalists” indeed. What is more “citizen journalist” than decentralized platforms? By definition the bird site can never be a source of open, accurate information. And in fact, will become a major source of disinformation.
