Though owls are raptors, they have some interesting features that set them apart from other raptors. First of all, you are far more likely to see a hawk or a falcon than you are an owl. This is because owls are usually nocturnal (meaning they hunt at night), while other raptors are diurnal (meaning they hunt during the day.) Owls may seem “fluffier” than other raptors. This is because owls have special feathers that make their flight virtually silent. Owls also appear more bulky and less streamlined than most raptors. This is because they are built for short and strong bursts of flight; rather than the soaring flight of hawks or eagles. This bulky build also helps owls carry larger prey than many other raptors. Hawks can carry prey that weighs about half their weight. But owls can carry prey that weighs as much as two to three times their body weight!

If I see how much work (love it though) it brings to only support ~100K people on a platform I don't wanna know the resources Twitter needs..

I see a fair bit of claims that Zelensky is "maximalist" when he states he wants all of Ukraine liberated.

First, the territory is Ukrainian; he's entitled to wanting it liberated.

Second, Putin has not budged one inch from his original goals. Losing militarily and having to spin his army's multiple retreats as "good will gestures" represents neither a revision of goals, nor compromise, nor a concession.

Yesterdays's *daily* migration to Mastodon was a record.

The picture doesn't capture fully what happened in the 24 hour period after Musk's 'hardcore' deadline. In that particular 24hour period there were 240 thousand registrations!

A few weeks ago, back in October and prior to Musk being in charge of Twitter, there were only a few thousand daily registrations to Mastodon.
