I'm on there almost daily, and I don't really see much of that, likely because I don't follow people who post that kinda thing. I've also blocked a few dozen people over the past year.

I'm not championing corporations, I'm just being pro-choice when it comes to what we can read/see on the net. I don't like the idea of a giant corporation deciding for me what I can see or read, and I think the relationship between you and your followers should be between you and your followers, not regulated by some weird middle man who will decide for both of you.

This idea that if bad people use a technology/platform everyone else who uses it is somehow guilty or complicit in those bad things is a little silly.

You know Chrome & Firefox are used to visit nazi/isis websites, am I also somehow "ok" with those groups now because I use those to browse the web?

Btw i'm not even commenting on your post using gab, but qoto.org... lots of gabaphobes blocked the entire instance out of some weird fear that everyone who used it was a boogie man haha

I left FB after what they did with france, working with the government to doxx people for thought crimes... tried a few "FB/Twitter alternatives" and gab was the only one where my posts actually got engagement... I like their libertarian take on things, i'm treated like an adult.

Well, the reason nobody would say these things about fire is because fire has no person hood or agency, I mean there's really nothing more to say than that lol.

@tripu@mastodon.technology you for example, are on mastodon.technology. The admins of your instance removed your ability to decide for yourself to interact with gab users, which there are a lot of.

I'd be very careful even talking about this, your admin has banned people for just asking questions.

If you want a safe space, you can talk about it on gab.

Gab is a libertarian social media platform, they recently federated to mastodon.

There's a few main stream media articles about how gab is bad, so when they moved to mastodon everyone started freaking thinking it was some kind of "nazi" site, which its not.

Many mastodon admins are banning their users from seeing, reading or following anyone in gab - even banning users for asking about it.

Almost everyone who demands gab be blocked has spent no time on it, and never really looked into what its about, but instead just believe what a few articles say about it. There's even some examples of mastodon users advocating people are killed for being apart of gab.

The hysteria is so bad that now people are banning entire servers not based on anything other than which software theyre running. So if you're running a fork of Gab they just ban you even though you didnt do anything wrong.

The mass instance blocking is causing all kinds of problems, pissing users off and its basically a big shit show.
