The local news is talking about teacher shortages. All I can do is laugh. Maybe pay the teachers a living wage? Allow them to, you know, teach their subject matter as the experts they are instead of putting ridiculous, bigoted roadblocks in their way? Perhaps, also, stop encouraging kids to go to school sick and get *them* sick, all for meaningless attendance awards? No?

I hate peddling my own wares but I'm a stubborn fool who decided to make my career in the arts because I probably wasn't good for much else. Unfortunately, this makes wares-peddling kind of unavoidable. @FindingHobbes My Percy's favorite perch is on top of the printer too, especially in the middle of the night. I'll hear him get down because he hits all the buttons on the way down, and I've yet to figure out what he's trying to print.

Would you fall for this? My youngest kiddo thought she was getting a special #kitten. They just stole $550 of her money and then blocked her on #PayPal without providing the kitten. She spent all day yesterday crying over her lost savings. I didn’t know about it until it was too late. Turns out they have similar sites for #puppies, #birds and #reptiles -all #scammer sites.
Caveat emptor. Do not buy #pets from unverified online sellers!
@Fuman@sfba.social The dogs were sprayed so much that they knew to just rub off the discharge when sprayed. I think they weren't all that happy about getting multiple baths per week.
I hit on making a paste with baking soda and vinegar, and regular Pantene got rid of the rest. I don't know why I didn't try Dawn.

I moved, with 2 dogs, into a house in the country. The first night we were there, the dogs killed Grandma Skunk. For the rest of the summer, the skunk family became the Terrorist Skunks. Every night, either the dogs were sprayed or the house was sprayed.
It took the terrorists 2 years to forgive. Meanwhile, baking soda, vinegar, and Pantene shampoo became my go-to stink fighting tools.
I saw a NOVA or NatGeo doc on skunks. Evidently, they are pretty territorial and hang around the same area. If they are relocated, they usually starve to death because they don't know where to find food in an unfamiliar location
