What happened on Jan 6, 2021 was an attack on the Capitol, not a riot. And on Jan 6, 2023 election deniers forced the election of Speaker and the organization of the US House to 15 ballots. Our Republic is still under attack.

There's no ideological clash in the GOP. It's just a disagreement over strategy. Some are what I call "process fascists" seizing power gradually through gerrymandering, stealing Supreme Court seats, etc. Others are "express-lane fascists" who prefer chaos and violence (Jan. 6).
