Whenever I see someone wearing an N95 or C99 mask in an indoor setting, I conclude that they are probably intelligent and there is a good chance that they are considerate.

@av @therobburgessshow I agree that a lack of critical thinking skills are at play here—how much is nature v. nurture is debatable. I did not learn it in a systematic way until I reached my upper division uni courses, but I had a certain innate tendency towards it. Those that aren’t naturally skeptical in a quasi-objective way, would have to learn it. Of course, the right anti-education/intellectualism discourages it, arguably the overarching goal of their leaders.
@therobburgessshow I have to wonder how many of the up in arms 'come take my stove' people don't know Mcdonalds doesn't use gas and they likely never cook at home.

Just sitting here wondering who else we need to lose to a sudden cardiac arrest before the CDC starts reading the hundreds of articles in the NIH database that show humans w/covid are at increased risk for adverse cardiac events for at least 12 months post-covid. 🤔

And he's running again? Really, Republicans voted to re-elect this very dangerous person.
I feel like part of why the right is so susceptible to moral panics about “the libs are coming for your X” is that they very much do want to come for other people’s X and assume everyone must work that way.
They want to come for your social safety net, your gender affirming care, your right to not be discriminated against in the workplace, your reproductive rights, your diet, your media, your non-conservative Christian religion or lack thereof, your identity.

Not all sudden heart failure lately are a result of Covid alone, but so many of them had a tough bout of Covid in recent past.
If you're not wearing a mask around people you don't know or people with health conditions, you are contributing to this.

There’s very few waterfalls of note in #Texas - where there’s topographic relief for them there tends to be insufficient rainfall to sustain them. But, for example, there’s Pedernales Falls in the central TX Hill Country a little ways to the west of Austin. The falls run over Pennsylvanian (Carboniferous) Age limestones chock-full of crinoid stem #fossils. Water was low this day but in a wet year they more truly qualify as “waterfalls”.
