Manhattan DA prosecutors close the case against the Trump Organization with the argument that Trump (who is not charged in this case) knew of Allen Weisselberg’s tax fraud.

The argument supports their theory that the Trump Org is criminally culpable for and benefited from tax cheating.

(The irony is that if Trump did not know about the fraud of his loyal long-time CFO - that he claims to be qualified to run the country - but 6 bankruptcies didn't hurt him either🤷‍♀️)

The decision to leave vs. stay at the fowl place shouldn't be framed as one about ceding ground because it's not— it's about complicity in proving a bigoted billionaire's business thesis.
