When a “conservative”’tells you they want to protect the America I grew-up in, i remember that America:

Black men were lynched.
Wives were raped by their husbands and it was legal.
Women couldn’t have credit cards.
Gay men were sent to prison.
Marijuana possession was punishable by life in prison.
Teenagers were drafted and sent to die in far-away lands.
Birth control was illegal.
Clergy raped children with impunity.

Kalief Browder was 100% innocent. He was a good student and had never been arrested. He was accused of stealing a backpack, even though no backpack was found on him or anywhere near him when he was arrested. There was literally zero evidence. But they sent him to Rikers for 3 years, hoping he would confess to something that everyone knew he didn't do. He never confessed. And it broke him.

Biden's problem is that the Democrats decided that it would be "safer" not to have a primary after he said that he would only serve for one term when running and that's not sitting well with many.

Republicans have made a worse decision:letting Trump run at all. Both decisions were driven by cowardice.

If we want to talk about why Biden's poll number are poor we need to talk about the fact there isn't a real primary.
