Anyone with a recommendation for a #fountainpen? I've been considering getting one and just completed my self-imposed two-month test run with a disposable Pilot Varsity with satisfactory results. Here's what I'm looking for:

Something fairly slim, say 11mm barrel or less
Vacuum/plunger fill, piston would be a reasonable alternative
Flexible nib would be a plus

So far I think my best option might be a used Conklin Nozac Vest Pocket or perhaps a Sheaffer Balance Slender. I don't mind a little DIY effort, but if it'd take expensive specialised tools to maintain an old pen, then maybe I'm better off looking at newer models. What #fountainpens can the Fediverse recommend?

I don’t even know what to say about this pose, but here you go.

That... is... brilliant! Even if only to get them out of the regular lanes!

Someone just made a not-so-veiled threat against everyone at TE and we’re pissed.

We are considering our options.

So You Want To Write Your Own CSV code? http://thomasburette.com/blog/2014/05/25/so-you-want-to-write-your-own-CSV-code/

They could have just left this running, right? The marginal ongoing costs couldn't be too much. Seems short-sighted. The national health emergency may be "over" but I'd still like to know if I'm exposed.

I was just let go from my job and I’m looking for a new place to land. If anyone knows of an open role for a Senior QA with 9 years of experience, please let me know. I have extensive skills in Agile, SDLC, Jira, Confluence, Smoke and regression testing, Postman, documentation and more.

Even if you don’t have a role but see this post, PLEASE BOOST IT so someone else may see it. Thank you.

"In General Electric’s annual report from 1953, the company bragged about how much it paid in taxes and how much it was spending on payroll. It explicitly said that “maximizing employment security is a prime company goal.” The founder of Johnson & Johnson said that the company’s responsibility to its employees was higher than its responsibility to its shareholders. Corporations then had a radically different conception of their role in society compared with corporations today." https://archive.is/66hPb

Let's give these folks a boost and help them activate over here on Mastodon. They do great work.
