Hi everyone!

As a bit of introduction, I'm Andrew Brandt. I'm a principal researcher working to help protect computers and networks from cybercriminals.

A little bit of personal news to share: I'm running for a seat on the Boulder Valley School District board of directors. I've just launched my campaign website and will be posting here about education policy and issues facing public schools.

You can learn more about my campaign at https://brandtforbvsd.co/

DRM-free PDF subscriptions to 2600 have finally arrived! https://store.2600.com/collections/subscriptions-renewals/products/d1g1t-lsub

To our AmazonKindle Subscribers - you can now subscribe directly to 2600 - DRM-free & your issues will never disappear! https://www.2600.com/content/get-2600-your-kindle

We've got more than 150,000 subscribers on our YouTube channel, but only about 1500 Patreon and YouTube channel members. While we're LOVING the support we already have, if just 1,000 more of you who watch our content donated $1 a month, we'd be able to do so much more -- and not worry about money as much! ;)

Links? We have them:

I'm sick of reading lists of "popular developer blogs" that are just the same corporations listing the other ones over and over and over again.

I know there are great blogs and newsletters out there, many of them run by individuals. Help me find them!

Insurance won't cover the walker I need for mobility and safety. So I started a GoFundMe. If you can share, boost, or even donate I would appreciate it. https://gofund.me/9f17451a #mutualaid #mutualaidrequest #NEISvoid #crowdfund #disabilitycrowdfund @mutual_aid @mutualaid

Boost if you're old enough to remember ZMODEM.

I joined #Mastodon last November after a segment on Swedish national radio. After trying some different instances I found my home at #vmstio last month.

I’d like to join the choir praising the positive and tolerant platform this is. The whole #Fediverse concept that Mastodon is part of has brought me back to #OpenSource and #SoftwareDevelopment. The past months has actually in a way restored my faith in humanity.

Thank you!

@BlackAzizAnansi $25 closer to paying back rent of $4000 but the month marches on quickly and it'll be August before I sneeze.

Filed my last Unemployment claim last week.

I've been looking for work for a year now. Six months before my last job ended and six months since. The search continues.

Please share, etc... to keep us housed.

Stop blaming strikes for economic damage. Strikes are a logical response to overreach and greed from corporations and the wealthy. If there is resulting economic damage, look to those who drove the workers to strike in the first instance.
