It's a news website all about operations and general stuff around the fire brigade with main focus on northern Germany, which currently has about 10k hits per day and works with old stuff like framesets. :blobcatnotlike:​ I'm about to redo the whole thing with Laravel and eventually TailwindCSS. Frontend has never been something I've been really good at and I've always been unhappy with my results. So I'm hoping there's someone here who can help me. ​

Hey #fediverse friends.

I'd really love your help helping one of my team out of a really #shittysituation.

Back at the height of the #COVID crisis, their car was written off after a hit-and-run. One of the few cars they could get at the time which made sense was a #2012ChevroletVolt.

That car, which still has more than $10,000 on it in outstanding finance, is now dead after a $10 part failed (but which the dealership is refusing to replace and instead wants to replace an entire module within the battery pack for $6,000+.

They can't afford to repair the car, and they certainly can't walk away from the car payment without getting into a really bad place. They've been saving up for their wedding, but in this climate, they're getting nowhere fast.
