If you are not a German but have a German work contract, please read on:

1. When they make your role redundant, they can't just fire you.

2. Immediately get an #employment lawyer (labor lawyer). Contact your local unemployment office and ask them where to get a labor lawyer. Contact any local union and ask them. Contact ... well, just ask a stranger on the street -if you have to- whether they know any labor lawyer.

3. Do *NOT* - I repeat: do NOT - sign any "mutually agreed termination agreement". You will be prevented from any unemployment benefits for some time if you do so.

4. Talk to your labor lawyer. Talk to any lawyer.

5. Do *NOT* - I repeat again: do NOT - sign any "mutually agreed ..." - you get the picture.

They can't just fire you - unless they decide to close the office completely in Germany. Get a lawyer. Get legal advice. Trust me! IT IS WORTH IT!

I feel lonely. Early December a mass was discovered on my kidney measuring 11.5cm. Since then.. all scans have pointed to it being only on my kidney (no spread).

Surgery still does scare the hell out of me. I want to connect with other folks who have had surgery of any kind where they were put under. Feel free to comment below, I would love to connect 🫶🏻
