The added personal touch is helping many people, especially the elderly, deal with loneliness.

Hey folks! My wife is looking to do some freelance / part-time copy editing as a transition out of full maternity mode, having something to do she’s good at that doesn’t fully focus on the kid.

I feel the fine folks here at the Shop would have great advice for this, or at least better advice than mine (start a fiverr account).

What do folks here recommend she look into?

This lighthouse is SO UNIQUE! It's called Þrídrangar, which means "three rock pillars". It is located 4.5 miles (7.2 kilometres) off the southwest coast of Iceland, in the archipelago of Vestmannaeyjar, often described as the most isolated lighthouse in the world. The lighthouse was built there in 1939.

It's such a INCREDIBLE location for a lighthouse, perched on a rock in Iceland's wild surf. Originally constructed and accessible only by scaling the rock on which it is situated, it is now accessible by helicopter since the construction of a helipad.

Here is a baby beaver for no reason.

Happy new year! Another year means another year-long keogram! Every 15 seconds throughout 2022, my trusty all-sky camera took a picture of the sky above the Netherlands. Combining these 2.1 million images into a year-long keogram reveals this picture, which shows the length of the night change throughout the year (the hourglass shape), when the Moon was visible at night (diagonal bands), and the Sun higher in the sky during summer, as well as lots and lots of clouds passing overhead.

My #Introduction. My name is Kin Lane. I am Chief Evangelist at #Postman, and I have been writing and telling stories as the #API Evangelist since 2010. I study the intersection of #Policy, #Regulation, #Algorithms, #Governance, and how #Technology #Platforms are used to manipulate or empower us—sharing what I see from across this #digital landscape we are perpetually building for ourselves.

Teach me something useful about a subject you know very well.

Doesn't have to be a detailed lesson, in fact ideally just a few words or a single post.

Boosts appreciated, 2023 is coming and I'd like to get smarter. Maybe we can all get a bit smarter.
