@prophetkristy, it was. I cooked for her, she got ready to leave on vacation (without me, but someone has to stay home with the parrots) and we slept in.

Got my switches and new battery operated soldering iron in the mail, so my garden sprayer and lawn mower both get repaired soon!

It's the small things that can make me happy.

@Pat @gpowerf @prophetkristy , I have tried for most of my life to define hard and fast rules for myself, and have not been able too. I do have lines in the sand, and as I age, those lines get more solid, and less tolerant of the evil men do. But I agree with you, that we often need to look at acts case by case.

@Pat @gpowerf @prophetkristy , I agree in principle, but no matter how good a financial advisor Epstein may have been, he wouldn't babysit my kids. There are firm lines that can be drawn. Should be drawn. So I understand being uncomfortable buying a Tesla these days, even if I don't agree with that lack of comfort.

@prophetkristy , There is no industry in the world untouched by acts of evil. Teslas are literally the best cars mass produced on the planet, today, and for the foreseeable future. Feel no shame that you are happy with a car.

@trinsec ya, indoor only cats. If I remember right, he had a stroke or some other instant death, and naturally stopped feeding them. Eventually, the cats got hungry. It was quite the topic of conversation among those who knew him for awhile.

My original point though... there is no reason to waste so much time and emotional effort on Musk. Eventually, his cats will have him too. Or he will end up like Howard Hughes in a Vegas penthouse collecting bottles of his own urine.

@plenartowicz I understand you position, and even largely agree. However, I feel that individual rights and choice supersede or overwrite societies responsibility. We, as a society, can and SHOULD offer help. We should never demand people accept it.

Every year on this date, my wife and I have a tradition, we both try to be the 1st to say 'happy anniversary' to the other and then complain the other forgot. This has led to some fun pranks, like last year me hiding in the kitchen for her to come out, walk past me, so I could get the jump on her. Or buying pens to write on mirrors "I win" messages.

This year, I told her that her present was that I was going to let her say it 1st.

32 years now, and we still laugh and have fun.
