Relationship advice: inhale helium before arguing

@otso @freemo I have been to the Caribbean, and Finland. I will say, going from the sauna that is just to hot to breathe in anymore, running across the snow and into the icy water.... It's kinda like a full body orgasm.

@georgetakei , Uncle G, I really love you. You are the uncle America needs.

@freemo @otso , The mosquitoes are the size of birds, and have been known to carry off small children.

@otso @freemo , I think you have stated the root cause of WHY Americans are obsessed with nudity. the Europeans why took over what became the USA were religious zealots. Not exactly the best Europe had to offer.

@freemo I understand. I am concerned, on a STEM server, can you discuss medical issues and provide pictures of genitalia?

Reading these attempts to define pornography over the last decades, I am trying to present the idea that simplification is the answer. No victim, no crime is my attempt to do this, and offered up for consideration only.

At the same time, I don't wish to see any site I am on flooded by images that drive others away, or become the noise that hides value from users.

But, rest assured, I appreciate your efforts, and the efforts of the others I just read, no matter what the eventual outcome will be.

@freemo , very good discussions. I would like to see how they develop, and if the same solutions are applied to topics such as nudity and war depictions.

My personal philosophy is "no victim, no crime, no exceptions." And to be a victim, you have to show quantifiable harm. Seeing a nipple just doesn't cut it. Seeing soldiers killed can.

@mayaisloading , same, but they are unhappy accidents, and everyone calls them my kids.

@medusaousa I know that because of quantum effects, there is a small, but non-zero chance, that things will just move where I direct them to with my mind.

Gotta keep trying.

@brewnoir , possibly. I don't use Instagram. I was just documenting for the general amusement of the server my downward spiral to an evening of cocaine and hookers.

And now you have gane and spoiled the ending for everyone.

@Pat @trinsec , I don't think I have a firm understanding of the difference between 'fear' and 'obsessive thought.' I also seem to have a strange reaction to most fearful situations. I tend to get angry. With the cup, it is... apprehension? No anger.

It is a strange thing for me, But you got me thinking. Caffeine, or something I associate with "mouse" in some way. I will be altering my behaviour for the next 6 months trying to see what the trigger is. I still wonder what other things like this I have not noticed.

@Pat @trinsec , Ya know, that might be it. It doesn't help me identify irrational fears in myself when I don't know in advance the fear is irrational, but caffeine could be the trigger HERE. I have recently started having morning coffee with my wife, and the mouse in the cup thing wasn't present before.
