@dillonliam I got 3 of them as a present from my mother in law. Wonderful birds, friendly, beautiful, etc. But ya, they were a mess, and I have no proof but I think my neighbor shot them.

@godpod , more 6 legged mammals?? The extra legs can be wings if you like...

@lisabug@mstdn.party I always use "suspect in a capital murder trial".

It kinda stops conversation.

@lisabug@mstdn.party, I can't get half the accounts I made to follow me...

After a bit of research, I discovered the show got the value wrong for the time of the show, and it has been updated since the show was written.

I wish I had an older CRC to look up the value... was it modified in the last 40 years??

Watching Stranger Things. Did anyone else notice they got Planck's constant wrong?

@Sundae_Gurl as well it should be. I expect them to gild it and hang copies of it from their trailer hitches.

@disco_socialist@mastodon.social , "Ladies, what's stopping you from dressing like this all the time?"

@w7voa we need a constitution amendment eliminating gerrymandering. Redrawing districts should never be a partisan process.

@godpod , You should have bought shares in big popcorn.

@w7voa , why isn't the GOP calling for his expulsion from the USA?

@TeaPain it's all fake news. He won the 1st vote. Biggly.

@urbandata @Urban_Dispatch , I agree with this, but I feel that tying the removal to costs like fuel, relocation, etc are a better way to remove them. Right now, there is economic incentive for many of these abominations, and to remove one means to just move it to a different location. We need to remove them as they phase out, and not in some form of NIMBY relocation of the problem. Louisville tried this a few years ago, and although I HATE the freeway along the river, tearing it down would have been a horror show for people living near alternative routes.

@gettingcomputey This quote is one of my favorites:

“The universe is probably littered with the one-planet graves of cultures which made the sensible economic decision that there's no good reason to go into space - each discovered, studied, and remembered by the ones who made the irrational decision.”

― Randall Munroe

@mur2501 , For the most part, I do ignore it. But I can't hear as well, and sometimes it causes some strange auditory illusions. And then rarely, it is gone... Sometimes for a few mins, sometimes for hours, sometimes a few days. And the level of peace is so nice...

@trinsec , That is what I was hoping had happened.

@users , what are the drops in users?
