@GottaLaff This is also true if Democrats win. Both of these fascist parties lead to the same result: The death of America, freedom, privacy, and democracy

"Every human being should have the right to have a private conversation. That’s true in the offline world, and we must not give up on those rights in the digital world. We deserve to have true private communication, not bugs in our pockets." eff.org/deeplinks/2023/11/mont

“I can’t think of a worse idea than charging minors with criminal offenses for viewing adult content and potentially ruining their futures." techdirt.com/2023/11/06/ohio-l

"Back at Scheidegger’s law office, she thinks it’s time parents and schools across the state have a discussion with students about the consequences of sharing sexually explicit videos." tmj4.com/news/local-news/glend

"Let me be clear: contrary to the name, pedophilia OCD is not related to true pedophilia. It describes a specific obsession wherein someone becomes fearful of being a pedophile." psychologytoday.com/intl/blog/

As one of the only child protection organizations that is willing to stand up against human rights violations and censorship (particularly against groups such as the LGBTQ+), we rely on the generosity of our supporters to support this vital mission: prostasia.org/donate

"And, as before, today’s youth aren’t handing over their rights. Tens of thousands of you have vocally opposed flawed censorship bills like KOSA." eff.org/deeplinks/2023/10/youn

@laurenshof there's no DMs on bluesky? Just further evidence that Bluesky is a disaster and people should just join mastodon and embrace decentralized social media

Significant UX upgrade in Mastodon. If you're looking at someone else's post on a different server than your own, you no longer have to do multiple clicks and copy/paste to share the item.

You just put your own hosting server into the popup box and it shows you the post in context in your own timeline, and you can share it from there.

No this isn't perfect -- still too many steps.

But it's a major improvement.

It's weird watching people gas up BSky over and over again like "oh it's just like old Twitter!" "oh it's so much better on BSky growing my audience is so much easier" and always it's by people who already had like double digit thousands of followers on Twitter.

Meanwhile time and time again I keep finding that I have a MUCH wider reach on Mastodon. I was able to grow a larger following faster, and my posts consistently reach people who aren't already following me (whereas on BSky it has a stronger tendency to stay within my existing circle, which is just not fucking useful for growth)

"This can’t happen without involving sex workers. Their voices and experiences need to be central to any initiative in forming an educational and safety framework." prostasia.org/blog/defining-an

"The proposed EU ‘Regulation laying down rules to prevent and combat child sexual abuse‘ (2022) (CSA Regulation, or CSAR) has raised concerns that it is incompatible with EU fundamental rights and case law" edri.org/our-work/most-critici

"In editorials that ran in his local Shreveport, Louisiana, paper, The Times, Johnson called homosexuality a 'inherently unnatural' and 'dangerous lifestyle' that would lead to legalized pedophilia and possibly even destroy 'the entire democratic system.'" cnn.com/2023/10/25/politics/mi

"If there are educational, safety, and regulatory systems in place to ensure the safety of consensual sex workers, it becomes much easier for someone to find an ethical place to purchase sexual services that don’t involve exploitation." prostasia.org/blog/defining-an
