I had a thought. So I've been doing advocacy for child sexual abuse prevention since roughly April 2019, a little over 2 years. During that time period I've met a decent number of ""self-identified pedophiles". And I had this very interesting revelation. The pedophiles that I have met have been some of the most empathetic, kind, caring individuals that I've ever met. On other other hand, I've also met plenty of Trump supporters, and they have been some of the most hateful, unempathetic brainless people that don't care about any other human beings. Basically, the revelation I had was: pedophiles are better than trump supporters.

Now, a theory: my theory is the people that have been through the worst shit and has experienced the worst shit are some of the kindest people because that kindness is how they wished they'd been treated by others.

Ok, no sex education for high schoolers, in that case! Got to keep anyone a day under 18 completely ignorant to sex, exposing them to anything sexual is grooming! Now watch STIs, sexual abuse, and unwanted pregnancies skyrocket.

I'm sure if someone mentioned this you'd backtrack and say "Well that's different" but for real, you've got to pay attention to what you're saying. "Don't expose minors to ANYTHING sexual" is a more ridiculous take than you think it is.
