"As of now, 15 September 2023, the comic book property called Fables, including all related Fables spin-offs and characters, is now in the public domain. What was once wholly owned by Bill Willingham is now owned by everyone, for all time. It’s done, and as most experts will tell you, once done it cannot be undone. Take-backs are neither contemplated nor possible."

IGN just posted:
The Unity Games That Could be Impacted Most by Controversial Fees, From Silksong to Cult of the Lamb
Some developers are seriously considering de-listing their games from online shops when the Unity Runtime Fee kicks off at the start of next year, meaning some titles built on Unity could end up being temporarily — or permanently — unavailable. Here's what developers are saying about the Unity Runtime Fee on social media, and what ...

Any of you guys have any Godot tutorials that are just killer for getting started? I have a whole project to migrate over now...
Thanks in advance.
I want to post an update on this https://mastodon.social/@mcc/110996779058819065 "Marble Madness + Klax" cart which I bought because it was the cheapest thing the local game store had I could use to test my Analogue Pocket with GBA games.
The version of Marble Madness in it is an *embarrassment*. Many features missing and the game stops at level 3. Half the game is just gone! The *good* half, even!
But the Klax… the version of Klax is inexplicably incredible. I think this might be the *definitive version* of Klax.

I read the letter from Fulton County, GA District Attorney Fani Willis to Jim Jordan and... it is amazing. Letter is here: https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/23941408-jim-jordan-letter
My plan is to sell Gordy and the Monster Moon on Steam and Itch starting on 9/29, but also to release the source code at the same time. (Meaning Pico-8 owners effectively get the game for free.) In the meantime you can wishlist it on Steam here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/642020/Gordy_and_the_Monster_Moon/

Imagine if someone told you that 60% of your loved ones had died in a plane crash... It would be insane to only remember the 60% statistic and then, whenever someone asked you who died in that horrible plane crash, respond, “Hmm, you know, I never really looked into it. Maybe, um, Uncle Fred? Or my friend Clarissa? It was definitely 60% of my loved ones, though, whoever it was.”
A weird feeling as I’ve dedicated my career to sharing others’ achievements but I’m talking a moment to celebrate myself. I’ve been promoted to Vice President of Developer Community at Microsoft!
When I heard the news I went on a virtual thank you tour, to teachers who supported my curiosity, to bosses who were welcoming…
Ubisoft has the streaming rights for Activision Blizzard games, once the Microsoft acquisition is finalised.
I wrote a little blog post about my experience automating my game build and upload to Itch and Steam 👇
I want a Godot game dev IDE made to use on #SteamDeck (no keyboard) and which can publish to Steam.
I work in software development for TV. I play PC, Nintendo, and board games. Sometimes I go outside and run.
