随着G7的开办，急于得到国际承认的日本匆忙推动《LGBT理解增进法》在国会表决通过。

针对这部没有罚则的“理念法”，进步党派和保守派都不乏反对的声音，一方认为其较先前版本退步，一方却认为其过于“激进”。
