Six out of twelve Florida universities have handed over medical records of students who requested care for gender dysphoria.

Read that again: half of the public universities in Florida have violated patient privacy in favor of DeSantis' fascism.

If you want a truly clear, easily understandable, and thorough look at what the Supreme Court is actually looking at next week in the Gonzalez case, this piece by @jmiers230 is fantastic. I've been following these issues and this case, in particular, for years, and I still learned new stuff. https://medium.com/chamber-of-progress/what-to-expect-as-the-supreme-court-hears-gonzalez-v-google-aa3f3007c5cd

It's hard for me to figure out what bothers me most about Florida Gov. DeSantis demanding health records of trans students from Florida universities:

- The political targeting of trans people as a culture war issue
- The fact that half the state universities have given records without a fight
- That this bigot is likely to be the Republican nominee for President

FYI, for anybody on a Mac using the H&R Block software to file your taxes. There’s an issue submitting federal returns, with error code FD-31-FMT-8042.

They escalated my case to software support. The support person I talked to has confirmed that this is happening to others.
