In states banning abortions, women died ~3 times more often during pregnancies. Put simply, the GOP killed 2 out of every 3 of these women. That's genocide, not family values.

Yes, and that’s covered by whatever backup system Inhave in place locally. For instance, on #macOS my keychain is backed-up regularly by Time Machine.
The key point here being the used of my local OS and it’s basic functionally. I don’t need a 3rd Party in the mix in regards to #Identity #Authenticity and #Privacy 😀

@rhetoricked Personally I found that many of the people I followed on Twitter hadn't tweeted anything in months or years. When I eliminated all those, and all of the people who I had already found on #Mastodon, there were only around one or two dozen accounts left (don't recall the exact number) and some of those were just not important to me. I use bird.makeup to keep track of the few that are. My feeling is that one day Twitter is going to just disappear when creditors start pulling the plug, and like some others I have the suspicion that is what the Muskrat intended all along - he doesn't really like or care for Twitter so if he can drive it into the ground that is kind of a Pyrrhic victory for him.

Democrats want to make it easier for the American people to choose their own representatives. Republicans want to make it easier for representatives to choose their own voters, and Republican representatives only.
The Republican Party is doing everything in their power to silence those who don’t agree with them. This may appeal to a lot of Republican voters right now but they should all be concerned, too. A day will come when those voters will not agree with them. Looking at abortion rights for one, that’s already happening.

The Press are noticing that former Twitter developers are migrating to Mastodon.
What should raise eyebrows is: Ivory might be "better than Tweetbot ever could be".
This isn't mere hype.
Tweetbot was rolled out in 2011, when Twitter clients were already constrained by API limitations.
However, with Mastodon, Tapbots isn't constrained whatsoever by a proprietary API.
With open protocols, the sky is the limit in how they can innovate!
Twitter ain't limiting them!
