One positive thing about social media is that it has helped to make ex-Christians somewhat more visible. I can relate to many of their stories. It is nice to be able to find others and realize that we aren't alone. Seeing others also has a normalizing effect. Maybe some who haven't left will realize that there are other options besides staying put.

By the way, in the Supreme Court case today, the plaintiff arguing that YouTube had "created new content" that by virtue of being new would not be protected by Section 230 -- specifically by displaying thumbnails and URLs for uploaded videos -- I think had pretty much everyone else shaking their heads.
