Discovered during the week I was unable to access a Kindle book purchased in 2013. Reason? The order was “too old”, and refund issued to buy again. Which was pointless as the book is now more expensive than when I bought it.

Subsequently discovered 66(!!) other ebooks no longer available for download.

Currently 40 minutes in to a support chat with Amazon.

About to learn, I think, whether we purchase ebooks, or rent them…

@freemo @georgetakei As long as the DNC is around to market and elevate establishment Democrats, we're pretty much stuck in the same cycle of choices that have been forced down our throats time and time again.

Donald Trump presided over not 1, not 2, but THREE Chinese spy balloons, none of which he shot down and all of which he hid from the public.

The 3 #ChineseSpyBalloons exposes the emptiness of #Trump’s tough talk.

Thank you President #Biden for walking the walk.

@stopgopfox I get the sense the Supreme Court is untouchable. That’s bonkers that we let our most powerful court operate without guardrails.

@stopgopfox If the Supreme Court's mishandling of sensitive information includes mishandling classified information then they should face consequences just like everyone else.

Let's just call this out for what it is. A certain segment of our population can't abide the notion that education might inspire a broader perspective. That might encourage more compassion and understanding and undermine fear and the resulting dehumanization and cruelty.

Understanding and empathy for others interferes with their power.

People like Ron DeSantis are anti-democratic, anti-society, and must be forcefully challenged and opposed.

After 1 white parent complained about "controversial ideas" from Nat'l Book Award finalist Derrick Barnes speaking at three Alabama elementary schools as part of Black History Month in February—Barnes' lectures were cancelled😳

It was never about CRT. It was never about protecting our children. It was always about advancing white supremacy.

Now, hundreds of Black & white children will be deprived meaningful education, because of the whims of 1 white racist parent. smh

People worry a lot about losing knowledge — about "burned-down libraries".

Comparatively few people seem to worry about what happens if you take a billion books full of auto-generated, often-untrue junk text and *add* them all to the library.

In theory, nothing is lost. In reality, everything is lost, because nothing useful can now be found.

-- Supreme Court justices used personal emails for work
-- ‘burn bags’ were left open in hallways,
-- Staff afraid to confront justices on bad security practices

@Lunatech I love coca cola, but I don't think they have HFCS here, it's just not an European thing.

Though I switched over to the supermarket sugar-free brand that almost tastes as good and is half the price...

I'll always love Coca Cola.. and will just get it when I'll eat out (which is maybe once a year, heh).

Also, real fruit juice isn't really that healthy or good for you. Maybe a bit if they are pulpy, but otherwise they're almost as bad as normal sodapop. You're better off eating fruit as-is, or just drink water/tea.

If you like Coca-Cola but believe High Fructose Corn Syrup is bad for you (or just doesn't taste good) then watch for bottles with the yellow caps - they are only available at this time of year.

(Or, you could just drink something that tastes good and is actually good for you, like real fruit juice).
