*pssssssst* #twitter should be your backup to #mastodon, not the other way around

Enjoying the fact that the only noticeable impact I have from Twitter being down is that I see people posting about it here.

Now that bird's most basic functions are starting to break down - as in, can't use it at all - maybe all the people dual-posting there and here would like to consider actually giving the elephant a real chance?

Welcome back to a bunch of people who started accounts on Mastodon in November then slunk back to Twitter hoping things wouldn't get worse.

Take my advice and just stay here next time! Uninstall the Twitter mobile app and install either Tusky (android) or Ivory (iOS) and start following people here. You won't need to go back!

I won't lie and say the transition is *painless*... it takes like... 72 hours and some clicking to get set up and used to it?

Watching all the folks who signed up for Mastodon accounts, and then ran back to Twitter suddenly showing up here again to talk about how Twitter is down. 😂

Twitter is telling people who have posted just once that they are “over the daily limit for sending tweets,” and won’t allow them to post. I am currently blocked from posting on Twitter. DMs are also down.
