Berlusconi, Putin, Trump, they all pretend to be simple people. Why does a regular guy believe that the billionaire is on his side? Why don't they see it? As someone told me on Twitter, yesterday, regular people get treated so badly that if, for once, someone is on their side, they fall for it no matter how phony it may look from a distance.

I am at a hair salon... the ladies here are talking about Mastodon.

Am ded.

Fact: #Mastodon was named after a creature that existed on planet earth, while #Twitter was not.

Hey everyone, I'm building a list of congressional offices on Mastodon -- members of the House and Senate, committees, leadership offices, and non-partisan offices.

If you know of a member of congress that is on mastodon, please add them to the list, here: bit.ly/CongMastoForm

If you want to see who we have found so far, check out bit.ly/CongMasto

Thank you! Please help amplify to crowdsource the list.

50 years ago today, Count von Count made his first appearance on Sesame Street. The Vampire Muppet, who never seems to bite anyone and can be out in the sun, is obsessed with numbers and counting.
More than just a play on words, Vampire lore from several cultures includes compulsive counting and organization as a trait in such creatures- it's said you can escape one by scattering grain, which they'd then have to stop and count.

When people ask you if you watched that new show yet and you’re like, no I’ve been rewatching shows I’ve seen a million times because they’re like a warm, comforting hug, and I’m not emotionally equipped to take on new info at this time.

Hello #Mastodon my first toot, a wee #Autumn photo from the Ullapool to Stornoway ferry #photography #scotland

There’s no blue checkmark in the world worth giving your credit card info to a company that just fired the bulk of its devs responsible for digital security.

Moonrise over Aghabullogue, Co Cork. A personal happy place to offer up for #StandingStoneSunday.

I posted a message to mastodon via ham radio! iPhone via Bluetooth to a Mobilinkd TNC3 modem to BaoFeng UB5R. The signal went about 4 miles to the UT Austin Amateur Radio Club's antenna on top of Physics building (KA5D) where their iGate send it to 4X5MG whose bot posted it. Pretty neat! https://botsin.space/@aprs/109316550326136608

There’s a #StandingStoneSunday hashtag?! 😍 Here are a few from my phone. These are the “fingers” at Gurranes Stone Row, Cork, Ireland.

My 6 year old has wanted to be a tattoo artist since she was 3.

Most people she tells laugh.

I guess because they’re expecting her to say doctor, firefighter or ballerina?

All I know is any job that can pay the bills and make her feel happy/fulfilled, I am 💯 in support of.
