I'm not opposed to VCs losing money by funding teams that spent 2 weeks dabling on Mastodon, then 2 months building buggy solutions to a problem that's already been fixed by at least 4 other indie dev or open source teams.

I do, however, find it annoying that their techbros find it necessary to cry foul when the get-rich-quick scheme goes up in flames within 72 hours.

Here in the U.S., we (rightly) recognize Russia's invasion of #Ukraine as an unprovoked act of aggression against a country that did nothing to it.

But in China's eyes, Russia is merely reclaiming a "break-away republic" (ala "#Taiwan".) THAT is how they can even consider supporting Russia. It's a test case should they decide to "retake" Taiwan.
